Retaining walls and drainage correction

That wall is notgoing to holdmuch longer.

★★★★★ 5.0 from 100+ Google reviews

Bulging block. A slope creeping toward the house. Water pooling where it never used to. A retaining wall is a structural problem before it is a landscaping one, and guessing at it gets expensive. We tell you what is actually happening, in writing, before anyone quotes a build.

Why homeowners choose Red Rock

Anyone can stack block. The wall fails at the drainage.

Almost every failed retaining wall in the metro failed for the same reason. Water had nowhere to go, so it pushed until something moved.

What usually goes wrong
How Red Rock handles it
✕ Nobody could tell me if the wall was actually failing.
✓ We assess it on site and tell you straight whether it is cosmetic or structural, before anyone talks about a build.
✕ The last wall was built with no drainage behind it.
✓ Drainage is designed into the wall, gravel backfill and drain line, because water pressure is what pushes walls over.
✕ Water still runs toward my foundation.
✓ We correct the grade and the drainage as part of the work, not as an upsell after the wall is up.
✕ They quoted a wall without knowing what was under it.
✓ We look at the grade, the soil, and where the water travels before we design anything.
✕ The block does not match anything else in my yard.
✓ Materials are chosen with you, and the wall is designed to look like it belongs, including seat wall caps and integrated fire features if you want them.

From design to completion, the process was smooth, and the results were stunning. I could not be happier with my new patio and landscaping.

Before you reach out

Straight answers to the usual questions

Is my wall cosmetic damage or a real failure?
That is exactly what the on site assessment answers. Leaning, bulging, separating seams, and soil washing through are usually structural. Surface chips and staining often are not. We tell you which one you have before we talk about cost.
Why do retaining walls fail in Colorado?
Water, almost every time. If there is no drainage behind the wall, water saturates the soil, freezes, expands, and pushes. A wall built without a drain line is on a timer.
Can you fix the drainage without rebuilding the wall?
Sometimes, and we will tell you if that is your situation. Sometimes the wall has already moved too far. Either way you get the straight answer, not the more expensive one by default.
Can the wall double as seating or a fire feature?
Yes. Seat wall caps and integrated fire pits are common on our builds, and doing them with the wall means one crew and one mobilization.
